Bill Malchow

Matt, Simon and I played quite a few Saturday's at Bar Minnow. We would do a lot of the New Orleans R&B repertoire mixed in with some jazz and originals. Thanks to Jesse McGrath for the recording, I think he captured the spirit of the gigs nicely.

Matt Lindsey is a busy New York bass player originally from Atlanta, GA. He can be found backing up numerous bands and songwriters (Swamp Cabbage, David Kolker, Amy Speace,...). I met Matt Lindsey when we were both asked to assist the band Bubble in recreating the Beatles White Album. I had him on a gig, and loved his playing and kept booking him.

Simon Lott is a young drummer from Baton Rouge, LA. He was playing a lot of gigs in New Orleans with Galactic, Astral Project, George Porter JR (Meters), Brian Coogan and more. Simon relocated to New York City after Katrina and I met him at the New Orleans Refugee Band Hang in September of 2005. He's quickly become a favorite of many in NYC. He is currently touring with Charlie Hunter.
